Handmade Mantle Clock Case with clock - probably late Victorian

Restoration Project

Product Details

This handmade wooden mantle clock and case is probably dated around 1890 to 1910

It is 'crude' in it's form and the workmanship has a certain naivety to it. There is some small damage down the right hand side where the wooden fretwork has come away and has been lost. A nice restoration project. This is not a perfect piece and would suit an enthusiast who wants to restore it.

The clock is complete with its winder but seems to be working intermittently - so it will need checking and fixing (it works when wound and tilted slightly !). It has no makers markings on it at all.

The entire clock measures 28cm x 24cm x 9cm.
