Stunning Solid Silver Tea Service comprising Ebonised wooden handled Tea Pot, Double handed Sugar Bowl and Silver Creamer Jug.

The set is hallmarked Chester 1930 and the makers mark is for Samuel Blackensee.

The tea pot weighs 611g and measures approximately 28cm handle to spout and stands 13cm tall

The creamer weighs 150g and measures approximately 13cm handle to pourer and stands 8cm tall

The sugar bowl weighs 193g and measures approximately 16cm handle to handle and stands 7cm tall

About the Maker: - The business was established in Bristol by Abraham Solomon Blanckensee in 1826 and shortly afterwards moved to Birmingham. He entered in business with Saul Samuel trading as Blanckensee, Samuel & Co and in Melbourne, Australia, with Simeon Joseph and Elias Samuel trading as Joseph, Samuel & Co. Their partnership was dissolved in 1858. The firm was converted in 1887 into a limited liability company under the style S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd.
