Product Details
This is a Lieutenant Colonels Dress uniform from circa 1940-45 comprising Jacket, waistcoat and trousers/strides.

It features the insignia of a Lt Colonel in the Royal Artillery as well as the buttons being Royal Artillery.

It has various interesting ribbons on the chest - in order:

1939–1945 Star (Battle of Britain or Bomber Command)
France and Germany Star (Atlantic)

Defence Medal

1918 General Service Medal

UN Service Medal for Korea. 1950-55

It is in excellent condition - no rips/tears. It was obvioulsy well looked after and then stored away for over 60-years. We picked this up while doing a house clearance for a family.
It needs to be hung in a steamy bathroom to drop the creases out.
This gentleman clearly served from the end of the First War until the early 1950's if he held the 1918 General Service medal and a Korea Medal 1950-55
I wish we had been able to find out more about his service - but his (distant) relatives inherited his militaria many years ago and knew nothing about him.
The chest size is approx: 42"
The trousers are approx: 34" waist

(Circa 5'10" high)
