Product Details
This small wooden mantle clock and case is probably dated around 1890 to 1910 - it looks to be slightly crude in design and manufacture suggesting it is more of handmade project clock - still a great antique and it looks lovely. Very authentic.
The clock is working although no doubt would benefit from a clean/service. It has no makers markings on it at all but the mechanism is stamped as 'french'. The clocks brass bezel has a couple of dents in it - glass is fine though.
The handmade feel is comfirmed by the addition of the slightly crude 'royal' emblems (transfers or stickers) to make this seem like a British commemortive style clock.
The entire clock measures approximately 38cm (high) x 12cm x 8cm. So it is pretty tall !
